Runs at 3.6 V against the AAA’s 1.5 V. That 2.1 V gap can damage a device built for the AAA.

What batteries are equivalent to the AAA?
The AAA is sold as LR03, MN2400, AM4. All of these describe the same 10.5 × 44.5 mm alkaline cell at 1.5 V.
Can I use a AA instead of a AAA?
In many low-drain devices, yes — the sizes match. Check the voltage and chemistry against your device's requirement first, because a small voltage difference can matter in calibrated equipment.
How long does a AAA last?
A AAA holds a typical 850–1200 mAh. Real runtime depends entirely on how much current your device draws and whether it is used continuously.
Is the AAA rechargeable?
No. The AAA is a single-use cell and should not be recharged.
