Button Cell batteries
Button cells are small, round single cells usually between 5 and 12 mm across. They are sold under alkaline (LR) and silver oxide (SR) chemistries, and the same physical cell often carries five or more manufacturer codes. Voltage is either 1.5 V (alkaline) or 1.55 V (silver oxide), which is why the two families are frequently — but not always — interchangeable.
