USB 3.0 vs USB-C
A category error worth correcting: USB 3.0 is a data-rate standard, USB-C is a connector shape. A cable can be both, one, or neither.
These are not alternatives, and the question is the most common misunderstanding in cables. USB 3.0 describes how fast data moves. USB-C describes the shape of the connector — the small oval one you can plug in either way up. A USB-C cable might run at slow USB 2.0 speeds or at 40 gigabits per second; the shape tells you nothing about it. So a cable can be both USB 3.0 and USB-C at once, and plenty are neither.

Two different questions
Ask the shape question and the speed question separately. What plug is on each end, and how fast does the cable run? A shop listing that answers only the first is not telling you what you need.
Why USB-C cables vary so much
The connector was designed to carry many different things: slow data, fast data, video, and up to 240 watts of power. Manufacturers build to whichever subset suits the price, so two identical-looking cables can differ by a factor of eighty in speed.
How to tell them apart
Speed is almost never moulded into the plug. Check the packaging or the product listing for a figure in Gbps, and treat an unlabelled cable as USB 2.0 — 480 Mbps — because that is usually what it is.
Check before you swap. Batteries with similar dimensions are not always interchangeable. Always verify voltage, chemistry and the requirements printed in your device manual before fitting a replacement.
